I just updated to the new 2.2 Version of the WYSIWYG module. Now when I click on the nrembrowser button in the ckeditor (version 3.4.1) the popup does not open. Changing back to version 2.1 solves this problem.

I just updated to the new 2.3 version of WYSIWYG and it seems to have fixed this problem.
