Bright Web Design CreditAttribution: Bright Web Design commentedThis is not a critical issue. There is tutorial about how to setup views slide show.
But surely you need to have a bit of views knowledge at least how views works.

Bright Web Design CreditAttribution: Bright Web Design commentedThat's great, but how about the main part the thumbnail setup?
In Drupal7 thumbnail configuration is not available or totally different configuration comparing to version6.
The module comes with only one plug-in that is cycle, no thumbnail or other style options.
So please give a brief explanation of thumbnail settings.

Michsk CreditAttribution: Michsk commentedthe module is very nice, totally true. I got it working but when reading your tutorial you mention the link_module, and that is not necessary (d7), in d7 views we have the path field which returns the (absolute) path.
Bright Web Design CreditAttribution: Bright Web Design commentedDear Friend lasac,
Have you ever wanted your slider to link to a separate page or even to an another site?
If so how do you do without this link field?
If you try to use the path field it helps only for the internal pages only! (I believe so).
There were many users asked me an option like this with link module and that's why I created it.
If you could use the path field to connect to an external url please share it with me too.
I would love to learn that trick.

Michsk CreditAttribution: Michsk commentedAh ok, got it. Thanks. I didn't used the slider this way, i only link in my website but we could offcourse just create a new cck field for the external page.

shaisamuel CreditAttribution: shaisamuel commentedI had this problem for few weeks, I searched and try everything and was about to give up and try another module, and then it hit me...
When I downloaded the library from http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/download.html, there were 2 options. I used the lite one, assuming it will work.
What works for me finally was when I:
1. Downloaded the full version https://raw.github.com/malsup/cycle/master/jquery.cycle.all.js, renamed it to jquery.cycle.all.min.js, and placed it in sites/all/libraries/jquery.cycle
2. Followed the instructions on the tutorial by Ciril Tharayil, at http://www.brightwebsitedesign.com/how-to-install-views-slideshow-module...
Hope this can help.

Reg CreditAttribution: Reg commentedRegarding #17, I recommend instead of renaming the file, if on a Linux computer, create a symbolic link like this:
This at time goes by might prove more flexible for development scenarios or some other module that expects to see the original file and so on. Probably even better, minify the file and place the minified file with the name jquery.cycle.all.min.js along side the original file.
#17 should/will work, this just gives you more flexibility over the longer term.

vinmarv CreditAttribution: vinmarv commentedHi Ciril, the link you posted to your How To video is not working. By the way, when you say Link Field module, are you referring to Linked Field, Link Image Field or Menu Link (Field)? I can't seem to find the module exactly named "Link Field". Thanks.

catchlight CreditAttribution: catchlight commentedvinmarv - search YouTube using the same title ("how-to-install-views-slideshow-module").
The tutorial is excellent by the way.
Thanks Cyril! :)

Peters CreditAttribution: Peters commentedHi all,
for me the slideshow works but I am stuck with a white space above the slides.
This white space is reserved for the node title (required). I could hide the title but I need
this white space to be eliminated.
Anyone knows how to do this?
Thanks ahead!

But your tutorial (DinhDesigns) REALLY helped me, and BAM, the slideshow is working again on my website...
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...I made this account just to THANK YOU!
