Is there any way to have the scheduler box open up automatically on my node add forms? I'm always in a rush to save and forget to set the schedule! :)

Hello,
Scheduler 1.8 does have the option to 'require' a scheduling publishing date, which can be set by admin per content type. This is new sometime between 1.6 and 1.8 and if it is set then you should not be able to save the node without entering a date. What version are you using?

[edit: Forgot to say, this also has the exact feature that you want, ie the scheduling entry is opened ready for your input]

Note to self: It could be an option to open the fieldset anyway...

Yes I was thinking it could be a useful option even when the date(s) are not required.
Let's see if the OP parasox has anything further to add.

Hey thanks, I checked and I am using version 1.8, and good info on the required bit, I can do that. It would be useful to have it as an option though, as I don't always set a schedule, just if I'm adding a bunch of content at once etc.

I always try to just put my scheduler as the last field so I don't forget, but then it gets lumped in with all the other closed fieldgroups down there and I just ignore them all by nature. :)

I do have an idea that would be useful, however it deserves its own issue: http://drupal.org/node/1035752

Title: Automatically expand scheduler field group » Option to always expand scheduler fieldsets

Hi,
Yes, I think having a separate option to force the fieldset(s) open even when the dates are not required would be useful. Actually, it would be helpful on my sites too, so I will look at adding this. I would guess that this is required when first adding a node or if it is added but not published yet. You would not want to always open the fieldsets when simply editing a published node, eg fixing a typo in the text.

Just letting you that if you post links to issues by typing [#issue-number] eg #1035752: Single click: this week, next week, this month, next month you get #1035752: Single click: this week, next week, this month, next month ie it will automatically add the title, and colour it depending on the status.

On a related issue, the option to override the fieldset with the override node options module is not working.
Issue is http://drupal.org/node/1266080

Are we still interested in a config option to always have the scheduler fieldset open when creating/editing a node? I can see this would be useful in D6, but we would need to consider the 7.x version first. In D7 we get vertical tabs by default and the fieldset is then always open. Can the vertical tabs be turned off in D7? I can't see where to do that. If they cannot be turned off then it is a non-issue for D7 and we can decide what to do for D6.

By the way, issue #1266080: Unable to keep Scheduler fieldset open is now closed as 'cannot reproduce'.

This request is now covered by the patch in #18 on #1203958: Options to set Scheduler as a fieldset and change the weight
Please head over there and test it.

Thanks
