I'm not a dedicated themer, but I know bit about how. I would like to add the other six regions to the sixteen already there. I don't see them coded in the page.tpl nor in ht .info. Do you have doc's on were these other regions are suppose to be placed?

18 show in the page.tpl
21 in the .info
16 in the block demo page.
19 in the blocks page.
Do you have a demo site that shows all the 22 regions?

regions[article_aside] = Article aside
regions[page_top] = Page top
regions[page_bottom] = Page bottom
this would make 21, but what does the 22nd look like?

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedThere are only meant to be 18, the article-aside region is a typo in the info file and needs to be removed, page-top and page-bottom are default Drupal core regions that are always hidden (for example when Toolbar is enabled it uses this region, otherwise you can't use it normally in your layout).
If you want to add more regions you can add Gpanels to the page, look in the gpanels folder inside Adaptivetheme core.
