peter-boeren CreditAttribution: peter-boeren commentedGuys, I have started with the port to D7 a few months ago. But my daily job is always in the way. I hope I can continue the work in the next few months.

zoraxCan you give us a way to add site content whitout the module ?

peter-boeren CreditAttribution: peter-boeren commentedThere is a module called simple news content selection. There is no official port yet, but in this thread you can find a zip. http://drupal.org/node/1080346 I hope this helps!

Kristen PolPorting is a pain... :(
For those who need a "related content module" for D7, you might want to try one of these in the interim:
http://drupal.org/node/323329
until RelatedContent has a D7 release.
Btw, I think RelatedContent should be added to the table comparison (in above link)... you need Documentation Admin status to edit that page, so just request that first and then you can edit it: https://drupal.org/node/319685
Good luck,
Kristen

Brainhack CreditAttribution: Brainhack commentedSubscribing - I have one page that relies on this module.
Will not need to port it before D6 is obsolete, so no hurry for me :)

Katrina B CreditAttribution: Katrina B commentedNo hurry for you -- but I work for a company building websites, and we've been building in D7 since late last year. As long as this module does not have a D7 version, I cannot use this module on the sites we build.

If you work for a company building websites wouldn't you also have someone with the skillset required to port this module?

Katrina B CreditAttribution: Katrina B commentedThey're not interested in porting modules; sorry.

rooby CreditAttribution: rooby commentedWell then sorry, but regarding your comment in #11 that's just tough.
That's how the open source community works.
You can't expect to get everything done for you.
If you have the resources to fix something yourself (or within your company) and contribute it back to help the community you take from, but are not willing to do so, then you have no right to complain.

Katrina B CreditAttribution: Katrina B commentedOuch. Well, that's a less-than-kind way of putting it.
I can't ask the company to help anyway; they ended my position in July. I'm not a programmer or developer, so unless this module is ported to Drupal 7 by someone else, I guess I'm out of luck.

rooby CreditAttribution: rooby commentedSorry Katrina that was a little harsh.
It just gets a little frustrating sometimes for someone who spends a lot of their own personal time contributing for no pay hearing someone say something along the lines of no hurry for you but we need it now - and that person works for a web development company that in theory should have the skills.
That's where I was coming from.
Anyway sorry to derail the issue, back on track.
