Hi,
I've installed the 6.x-2.0-beta1 and later the dev version and I'm getting the message: "An error occurred. Please try again later."
I've tried to delete and create the app again in Facebook and to delete the cache data: still the same problem.
If I link my existing Drupal account to Facebook it seems to work without problems (at least it doesn't show any errors).
This is similar to this bug: http://drupal.org/node/1016164 but I don't need to follow the steps stated on it: just trying a clean login doesn't work.
Looking for info I found this post on Github (2 months old): https://github.com/facebook/facebook-ios-sdk/issues/150 (probably won't be related, but just in case..)

Branndon CreditAttribution: Branndon commentedSame error here. Here are some screen shots for verification that I did everything right.
No errors in my system log admin/reports/dblog
Edit: not sure what I did, but it seems to be working now... maybe it just took some time?

Branndon CreditAttribution: Branndon commentedThis works for the connect app for me, but I can't have the full registration work, only the quick registration.

sukr_s CreditAttribution: sukr_s commented@Branndon: Does the connect work when you click on "Connect with Facebook account" under App Settings?
Also which version of FB api (see facebook-php-sdk/src/facebook.php -> class facebook -> version) do you use. I use with 2.1.2 and it works fine.

paco82 CreditAttribution: paco82 commentedUnder App settings, connect works perfectly. However, it does not work when trying to login outside the admin panel.
I get the error "An error ocurred. Please try again later"
What I have also noticed is that on the url, some variables are not passed. i.e
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/permissions.request?api_key=APP_ID&app_i... ...........
Can someone help me with this, please?

nerdatwork CreditAttribution: nerdatwork commentedHas anyone solved this problem? I've the same thing - using SDK 2.1.2
Unfortunately also the link in app settings doesn't work.
But this could be another problem, as the link doesn't look very nice with http://[...]/user/%25user_category/edit/fbconnect .... or is this normal? ;)

ebeyrent CreditAttribution: ebeyrent commentedHere's what I have discovered -
On the user settings tab (admin/build/fb/fb_user), if I have it configured to use the machine-friendly name, authentication with FB works without issue. If I have it configured to use the Human Friendly name, authentication fails.

Dave Cohen CreditAttribution: Dave Cohen commentedI have no idea what this issue is about, but since it was originally posted to Facebook Connect, I'm guessing it belongs there.
If there's an issue with Drupal for Facebook, please submit a new issue.

Branndon CreditAttribution: Branndon commentedUm, as far as I can tell, this is a post in the Facebook Connect module issue section.

Dave Cohen CreditAttribution: Dave Cohen commentedI guess this was closed by accident. What's the status of this? Is it a problem in 6.x-3.x branch? I don't plan to fix anything in the 2.x branch.

TheodorosPloumisFor me this problem caused by a wrong url. In the Facebook API registration (http://www.facebook.com/developers) I used the main url (eg http://domain.com) but while developing the website I had a subdomain (eg http://development.domain.com).
When I changed the url in the Facebook API to http://development.domain.com FB Connect worked fine.
Please confirm this.
