Can you provide a step by step guide to activating the search box? I have no idea as to how I should have it show up. It doesn't appear in the blocks menu for me.

manicolaus CreditAttribution: manicolaus commentedIn the Admin view, go to People, then to the Permissions tab. Search down for the Contact Form and allow Anonymous users to view the form. It will then become visible to users.

When subtheming Marinelli, the search form block did not carry over to the subtheme. It was fixed when I went to the blocks page and went to the "Marinelli blocks page" rather than my subtheme's.
I configured the search form block there to appear in the search region of my subtheme.
It is now active.
