Recent commits break normal calendar view

I updated the calendar module and now when I go to a particular month whose view is not generated by the node created field I end up getting calendars created (on a month display) that span several months and include the accurate event date (like February 2nd) but seem to be attached to the node created field. I have tried changing the authorship field but it only seems to affect the node updated field, not the node created field.

It seems to really only affected nodes that are created that span or occur on February 1st
