We created a release node today for Fusion. The filesizes for the links look correct on our project page, but the download links result in 404s:

Did I do something incorrectly?

I just tried going to http://drupal.org/files/projects/filefield_sources_reference_opt-6.x-1.0... instead of the original link which has ftp at the beginning http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/filefield_sources_reference_opt-6.x...

The version without ftp seems to work.

Is this an rsync job?

Huh. Yeah that does work. I've seen some older similar issues (from a few years back) and it does seem to be due to rsync not working properly.

Also, it's not clear why the dev version has the same date and the same file sizes as the 1.0, but the links work and they actually point to the Feb. 25 release.

That is normal if you haven't made any commits since the official release.

I imagine the dev release from feb 25 would have been overwritten if the synch job were working.

Ah that does make sense. So the date is correct (since my latest commit was made today) but the file isn't because of the failed synchronization.

The Charts and Graphs release I made yesterday also has this problem: http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/charts_graphs-6.x-2.7.tar.gz

By removing the "ftp" from the URL I managed to download it.

The infrastructure guys on IRC are aware of the issue and discussing it right now. I'll update this ticket as soon as I find out more information.

Everyone's links should be good now.

basic` and mythmon looked into this. It seems replication fell out of sync. The exact cause isn't known; it may have been a network problem. At any rate, it resolved itself eventually, and mythmon confirmed the mirrors are exact replicas by taking md5sums of all the FTP servers.
