Hey all,
I was just wondering if any of you had any experience running Drupal 7 on a new Mediatemple DV?
I've heard some rumblings about slow response, but I would think a 1GB DV should be able to run it properly?
I'm currently running a Linode 1024, but it keeps crashing and I'm beginning to think all the administration/tuning/fixing is not for me.
Any thoughts?

I'm running 4 separate installs of it on my dv 4.0 and haven't even seen a hiccup! I'd say go for it!

Great, can you give a little more detail? :)
Drupal 7 basic or with many modules? Heavy load? Logged in users?
How much memory does your DV4.0 have?
Thanks!
the problem is media temple,
the problem is media temple, they use MySQL Engines: MyISAM and drupal is designed to use InnoDB..
Media temple uses MyISAM To save memory.. don't ask me why they are being cheap... but they are offering the same service as, lets say GoDaddy and charging the customer premium price. I would say STAY AWAY!!!
I think you're talking about
I think you're talking about the GS service - which yes I've heard a lot of issues on. However I've got a ton of sites on my DV 4.0 that run perfectly. On a DV you can choose all the settings for you MySQL so it's up to you to configure how you want it.

I am using both Linode and Media Temple, and both of them works perfect for Drupal.
In terms of MySQL Engine, you could modify it as you wish.
