WSOD and FATAL ERROR in module: Call to a member function removeChild() on a non-object

Hi, a second error during testing:

I tried to update a link which created a White Screen Of Death (WSOD) on the site with fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function removeChild() on a non-object in /sites/all/modules/gotwo/gotwo.module on line 231

The link is not used in the body, but in a FIELD I have created called 'Link1' using a type of 'long text'. I have set an input filter called 'link redirect' to accommodate entering links into this field. It worked fine on the first save, however when I edited the link and changed the link title, it threw the fatal error as reported and breaks the site.
