I'm just wondering what the status is for 6.x-3.0? The last alpha was posted 2 months ago, and I could really use the Multigroup feature in there, I just don't want to install this on a production site. So any information you could give would be helpful, thanks.

jmlane CreditAttribution: jmlane commentedAt the very least, is there a list of outstanding milestones and/or critical bugs for 6.x-3.0 somewhere that those interested in the status of the module release can check?

roball CreditAttribution: roball commentedCurrently, CCK 6.x-3.0-alpha3+13-dev has significantly critical bugs fixed that are in alpha3 (which is now more than a year old). So at least releasing alpha4 now would help lots of people running CCK 3 on production sites, like me. But I think after such a long dev time it may be better called beta. Thanks.

roball CreditAttribution: roball commentedPlease, could we at least have the current CCK 6.x-3.0-dev released as alpha4 (or even beta1)?

roball CreditAttribution: roball commentedUnfortunately, it does not seem that anybody still cares about the D6 version at all, since it is in core as of D7.
Don't understand what's the big problem to just tag the current 6.x-3.x Git branch snapshot as 6.x-3.0-alpha4 (or 6.x-3.0-beta1) and create a release. 10 minutes of work and thousands of users that are still bound to D6 will be happy. It's sad to see how Drupal projects sometimes just suddenly die, and nobody cares about the user base.
