emicoma CreditAttribution: emicoma commentedI found out.
I use field_permission module.
I need to manage permission via field_permission on the email field to show it, that's all.

Fanaile CreditAttribution: Fanaile commentedI had this same problem; I hadn't enabled the field permissions for this particular field because when I installed field permissions only one of my other fields needed any sort of restrictions; So this is one field that if you have the field permission module you have to enable the view permission and give it to the role(s) you want to be able to use the contact form setting for.
But, field permission did not seem to interfere with the display as a email link - only the contact form.

apassi CreditAttribution: apassi commentedI like to raise this issue.
I use email contact to allow anonymous users to contact node creator, and each node contains email address for user who created the node.
The email address is not shown or editable by anyone after the node is created, because publishing must go thru validation process and the emails must not be able to change after that.
Now anonymous users cant contact node creator with email contact, because there is not view field_permission, i think email contact visibility should not depend view field_permission.

Anonymous (not verified) CreditAttribution: Anonymous commentedDear Maintainers,
The contact form display simply does not work at all when the Field Permissions module is enabled, regardless of the Email field's Field Permisssions settings.
In effect this renders the Email Field module useless in a large number of real-world scenarios. The latest count shows Field Permissions in use on 22,651 D7 sites. FYI, I am using version 7.x-1.0-beta2 of the FP module.
Can this serious limitation of Email Field be fixed soon, please?
Thanks,
Bob
