anonymous comment email validation moderation

howdy!

a number of comment systems have an email validation moderation feature for anonymous comments:

- when an anonymous comment is created, the anonymous commenter receives a validation email with a link. - when the link is accessed, the comment is published.

i can't find any drupal module that does this, and wonder if that feature would be welcome as part of advanced comment (perhaps as a sub-module?)

i have a client with this use case, and might have some code to submit if so. apologies in advance if there's already a module that does this and i just can't find it (in which case, i guess this is a support request :)
