Hi, I would like to consider myself a newbie i built this website about 2 years ago for a family member and he took it over from there. I have been building other sites in wordpress and joomla since but have not had much knowledge with Drupal. I went the the site the other day to find it looking like this www.stevenbrostekphotography.com Everything that has been created is showing it seems like a permission issue with drupal's core. The links at the top are not working either I get url errors from host monster. I am using the Acquia slate theme which you can view here http://drupal.org/project/acquia_slate. I plan on simply rebuilding the site from scratch which will take time but i have no other choice. I am posting here for any ideas on how to repair.

based on my quick look the theme itself seems to be working perfectly well, including but not limited to the primary links at the top of the site.

Realistically if the site has been unmaintained for a few years then trouble should be expected. The theme version you filed this under is 1.0, the most recent release of the theme is 1.4. Thus you're likely missing bug fixes and such.
