Hi,

I have ported drupal 6 Magazeen 3.x theme to Drupal 7 Magazeen 3.x. For this to work you require Drupal 7 and Fusion Core 7.x-1.x-dev theme. As the skinr module for D7 version is under development so presently the theme is independent of the skinr module. Can anybody please test it and post the issues so that I can fix them.
The theme can be downloaded from here: http://174.143.242.54/magazeen-7.x-3.x-dev.tar.gz

Thank You,
Komal

Hi Komal,

Thnx very much for your work!

I've installed both Fusion and Magazeen, and the result is as you can see in the attachment. It's not bad, but one of the things I'm missing is a menu bar. Also, I think the site name should move a bit too the right?

I'm not very familiar with Fusion, but here's what I did.

First, I uploaded Fusion to /sites/all/themes/fusion. Then I uploaded Magazeen to /sites/all/themes/magazeen. After that I enabled Fusion core theme. And finally I enabled Magazeen theme, and set it as default.

Is that the way it should be done, or am I doing something wrong?

btw
Here's the site I'm using Magazeen at right now (2011, July 1st):

Hi Marc,

To show the primary links (menu bar), you need to enable a block of main menu in the "Main menu" region.
The position of the sitename is same as it is in D6 version. If you want to move the sitename to right side you can add the following css in your .css file:

#site-name {
  margin-left: 20px;
}

Thank you for testing the theme.

Thanks,
Komal

Hi Komal,
thanks for the reply.

Indeed, I forgot to enable the main menu block. Stupid me...

About the site name's position: I see it's part of "div id="header-group" class="header-group row grid16-16". Wouldn't it be better to center this element, just like the main menu items as well as the content of the site?

Cheers,
Marc

Hi Komal,

Thanks so much for your contribution! I will begin reviewing your changes this week and if I don't see any big issues, I will make it available as a 7.x-3.x-dev release.

Thanks,
Sheena

Unfortunately, due to the delay in a stable release of Skinr for Drupal 7, further development on the Magazeen theme for D7 is not possible at this time. Once a solution to that issue is found, we will continue development of Magazeen and create a new release for D7.

The port of Magazeen posted in this thread is a rudimentary update of the template files for D7, but does not include Skinr support, which is essential to the core features of Fusion-based themes. The theme will also need updates for planned improvements to Fusion for D7.

I will post here once I am able to continue development.

Hi, just saw this theme, and I was eager to see that such a beautiful theme is available- free. Now I'm using Drupal 7 and installing the D7 version of Magazeen above seems to cause a few major problems and therefore, I am here to ask if any further development of Magazeen for D7 has been made or is being made. This theme is quite fine and I do wish to see this theme in D7 version.

Can we have 6.x-2.x upgraded to drupal 7? I have no doubt skinr module is great but 2.x was just fine so why change a good thing?

Hey, can you reupload this. The link isn't working.

I'm wondering if this is ever going to be ported to 7 or I should stop using the theme.
