This release not only bypasses one minor release ID (to be in sync with the 6.x branch) but also and first of all fixes a bug which prevented successful AJAX requests without mod_rewrite being enabled.
First 7.x release. The bad news is that there are no upgrade functions. The good news is that you will not need them if you upgrade from 6.x to 7.x and make sure you have the latest 6.x version installed before you upgrade both core and this module. Database tables have not changed and neither have the variables.
This first official release supports APC, basic file caching, many performance optimizations and all features that have been added in the last weeks (partially based on feature requests and issue reports. It is nevertheless considered alpha yet as a) some more improvement is planed and b) not enough productive testing has been done yet. Please comment and report issues.
This is the initial release of this module. Please read the README.txt and INSTALL.txt files. This module is in development and should not be yet used on a production website.
Note: The current maintainers will no longer pursue this branch.
