I use version 12.0.742.112 and with that version the usual path field is not visible, only the buttons of the file upload fields. When you use the "Choose file" button, selecting a file will not change the "No files chosen" message. Furthermore the upload field apparently will crash Chrome's javascript engine. "The following page(s) have become unresponsive..." message pops up with the choice to kill the page.
