Hi,
I really like how service links has been evolving.
I have been using the D7 version with access to the Social Widgets.

However I have two use cases for social links.

1. The social widgets for sharing content, which is normally news or articles etc.
2. Social links for following the site's social accounts.

Currently I use Service Links for the widgets, and then create my own content type in order to create Social Links and place them site-wide and in specific general sections of a site when Following is relevant.

Would it be possible to make service links groups, so I could create one group for Widgets and display them in specific cases, and another group links and display them in other areas.

Pretty much allow the creation of a custom Links block, which only displays a certain set.
That'd prevent in my case from having to create a separate content type and set of views to display Social Links.

If this type of functionality would be handy for other people too, I hope you'll consider it.

Thanks.

Actually you may use the API service_links_render_some() (look at the doc or the source for info) or try with Service Links Displays (which add the support for Node Display Suite) but on the next 3.x branch we will focus on CCK so will be easy achieve something like that.
