Hello.
I'm about this issue http://drupal.org/node/989058 for Persistent login project

more than 2 weeks ago I've wrote message to current project maintainer about this project but more than two weeks there is no any response.
So, the project is abandoned and I want maintain it(make D7 port and some D6 fixes).

Are there any ways to solve this problem?

sub, confirming that the project seems abandoned. There's an off-site D7 port that really needs to get migrated back to the drupal.org project page.

I guess we need to make this an explicit request to take over ownership (which I've done here), even if Ilya1st already contacted the maintainer directly and got no response...

I don't see why you would mark this closed. An issue about porting to Drupal 7 is not an issue to take over maintenance. This is the proper protocol for someone who wants to take over maintenance.

Sure, I read that, but the proper way to contact Barry is via an issue here with this specific title in addition to email/irc/whatever.

Based on #1246832: Offering to maintain Persistent Login module, once I can get access to the maintainers list of the PL project, I can grant access to gapple. Having 2 project maintainers would be better than just one.
