I am running the D7.x-dev version of core (because there was an error in 7.7). I don't have any other modules installed and I'm using the default theme. I receive the above error (I pulled it from the watchdog table) when I try to install this module.

I forgot to mention that my web host has apparently started using SAFE MODE recently.

My web host changed my php.ini settings to set SAFE MODE = off and this resolved the problem.
