Hi:
We are moving from a very tweaked Movable Type 2.61 to Drupal. (I know, I know ... Dinosaurs! :P ).
Our site actually has more than 21.000 entries and more than 700.000 coments. We find a solution to move to Drupal (in fact, we are in the process now). Our site has a lot of traffic (70.000 visits/day and serve over 200/250.000 pages/day - roughly-).
We are working over a 2 (equal) servers (one for http, other for Databases) with this configuration:
- FreeBSD Operating System
- Intel Celeron 2.8GHz CPU
- 2GB DDR3200 SDRAM
We are now on development process, and that is my question:
What we would do (and more important - not to do) to assure a good performance of Drupal with this traffic (traffic that roughly doubles year by year)?
Any sugestion will be very wellcome!!.
Thanks a lot
XiMac
