Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
All-
If you're using the module -- and especially if you develop for it -- then now is the time to think about 7.x.3.
Status
- I am about to start two large projects on Drupal 7.
- Both of these projects will use 7.x.3 as the base install.
- I will be tagging a beta release the week of 28 August when I start those projects.
Effects
- 7.x.2 branch will become bugfix only.
- Dependent modules must review and implement the API changes: #763442: Drupal 7 API changes and #777230: Hook Changes (d7 cleanup).
- Supporting both the 7.x.2 and 7.x.3 branches is preferred, even if you just state a minimum required version.
- 7.x.3 should be considered a major site upgrade. Test on a backup before you deploy
Release blockers
The following issues are blockers for a stable 7.x.3 release. Please review.
- #1259982: Update #7305 fails
- #1140016: Unassigned nodes don't link properly
- #1081468: Redirects on save fail with Overlay
- #1193338: 'path' not set in domain_url_rewrite_outbound()
- #1207284: Create an update callback to ensure smooth upgrades to 7.x.3
- #1258496: When user has no domain settings permission, system settings forms are submitted to all domains
- #809128: Restrict settings form to users with domain access
- #1247278: implement hook_requirements to check if default domain (ID=0)
- #1038362: Document exporting domain settings
- #827326: Domain Access: Adding unique body tag id, for CSS Injector
- #1181664: "Send to all affiliates" should allow any domain to be an option for domain source.
- #970274: Allow Domain Conf to ignore any setting
Logistics note
I will be on vacation from 2 September to 11 September and not checking the issue queue.

nonsieThanks for the heads up. Are there any of my modules you'll need? I've been cleaning them up now that I have some free time before school starts again.
I can keep an eye on the issue queue while you're gone.

sorensong CreditAttribution: sorensong commentedI seem to be having issues with Domain Blocks for 7.x.3, should/can I revert to 7.x.2 to regain functionality for now? Thanks.
nonsieThere is no Domain Blocks for 7.x-3.x yet. Patches welcome as always.
