All-

If you're using the module -- and especially if you develop for it -- then now is the time to think about 7.x.3.

Status

  • I am about to start two large projects on Drupal 7.
  • Both of these projects will use 7.x.3 as the base install.
  • I will be tagging a beta release the week of 28 August when I start those projects.

Effects

  • 7.x.2 branch will become bugfix only.
  • Dependent modules must review and implement the API changes: #763442: Drupal 7 API changes and #777230: Hook Changes (d7 cleanup).
  • Supporting both the 7.x.2 and 7.x.3 branches is preferred, even if you just state a minimum required version.
  • 7.x.3 should be considered a major site upgrade. Test on a backup before you deploy

Release blockers

The following issues are blockers for a stable 7.x.3 release. Please review.

Logistics note

I will be on vacation from 2 September to 11 September and not checking the issue queue.

Thanks for the heads up. Are there any of my modules you'll need? I've been cleaning them up now that I have some free time before school starts again.

I can keep an eye on the issue queue while you're gone.

Domain Blocks would be helpful.

I seem to be having issues with Domain Blocks for 7.x.3, should/can I revert to 7.x.2 to regain functionality for now? Thanks.

There is no Domain Blocks for 7.x-3.x yet. Patches welcome as always.
