As you can see from the screen shot, when using TinyMCE the background color of the textarea is too dark for readability. Disabling rich-text/turning TinyMCE off returns to a white background textarea. Thanks!

You must set up tinymce to use it's own css: under admin/settings/tinymce/ in the css fieldset choose "tinyMCE default"
