I created a folder "test" и "File Browser" and then deleted it. In the "File Browser" folder disappeared, but if you look at the file system, folder "test" still exists.

Unable to reproduce this. What's your server environment? Could there be some kind of delete restriction in your "File Browser" folder?

I have this issue as well, using Windows. The folder doesn't go away, but I also cannot try to delete again.

Correction: If you close the entire IMCE window, and then revisit the folder will disappear.
