We first installed StrongArm a few weeks ago as a required module for the SEO Tools module. We noticed a few hours later that all traffic was being directed to the Contact page. We did a restore to an earlier installation and the problem went away. We looked at the issue this morning and decided to just install StrngArm without the SEO Tools module. The problem came back. We can get to admin pages. It is just we cannot get to any of the content except for that content related to the Contact page.

The issue persisted after we uninstalled the module. The issue persisted after we deleted the module folder at the site. I did notice that there were no listings on the "admin/settings/strongarm" page. Perhaps there should be?

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

We did find the installed "URL Alter" module also has a weight of -1000 - we have disabled and then uninstalled it.

So far the issue has not returned. I will report back here in the morning.

Our past experience with this trouble has been it is not immediate but takes some time to exhibit, even with local and server side Drupal caches being cleared.

This issue is definitely a conflict between Strongarm and URL Alter -

For this site URL Alter is a left over from an earlier attempt at installing another scenario or just a misplaced click on the modules activation page. The conflict is resolved here with just the removal of URL Alter. Just an FYI if it is not documented elsewhere.

I'd like to follow up. Can you confirm that this issue seems to be with the way that URL Alter was functioning ( possibly a weight conflict with strongarm ), rather than an issue with strongarm itself?

Marking as fixed. If you still think this is a bug with strongarm rather than an edge-case conflict, feel free to re-open.
