URL link in breadcrumb is the just the title

the link provided in the breadcrumbs was not actually a URL. it's just the title.
for example:
home > Parent Term > Node

the "Parent Term" would actually make a link to www.mysite.com/Parent Term

i disabled all of the sub modules out of frustration trying to figure out which one was doing it and changing things around to no avail for hours and days. im sorry i cant provide more information on this, but when i finally disabled and uninstalled all the submodules and left the main module enabled is when it stopped doing this. i basically had them all enabled. couldnt determine which one was causing it or what setting.

also, with just the basic main module enabled, when i check "append title to everypage" thats not working.
