I'm wondering why not add this, there are trolls out in the internet and would be nice if user can block/ignore and not receive spam from random users, etc.. Since we are talkin about spam.. it would be kinda necessary because my website is gaining traffic and it seems there are more and more users complaining about not able to block a troll. Alternative would be yes.. report the user and let the moderator deal with them, but then again.. there are proxys etc, not the best solution.

So a nice blocking/ignoring user feature would be swell.
(Sorry if there already is some kind of module/feature out there that can do that for druaplchat, I wasn't able to find)

This is only a potential partial fix. You'd need to add a role for users who are shadowbanned, modify this patch with the RID from the Roles table, then either assign people the role of shadowban as a moderator or give other users permissions to do so.
