In one place, it's listed as "default", and another place it's listed as "serial_formatter_default". This is making it difficult to choose and set the proper formatter from the UI.

As per hook_field_formatter_info, "[t]o avoid name clashes, formatter type names should be prefixed with the name of the module that exposes them."
