I can't seem to create a vocabulary for organizing different types of groups on my site. Some groups are special-interest, others are geographical, etc, but all use the same "Group" node type I was directed to create when setting up Organic Groups.

Trouble is, when I attempt to create a vocabulary, the "Group" type I created is absent from the list of types. What have I done wrong?
