Is it possibile to install Nodestream on an already existing and working D7 multisite install? How could I do that?

You could download ns_core and as a module and start adding features from there. This is probably very shaky :) untested and so on. Another way to go at it I guess is by installing NodeStream from scratch and do a migration work from your existing site. A work that you would have had to do anyway I guess.
