Would be useful to set up a Drupal Feature server using something like http://drupal.org/project/fserver so that there could be a more centralized way to gather, browse & activate features from Drupal.org. Things like:
http://drupal.org/project/debut

Should be separated out from other modules & request different information.

Agreed. Also it's not the way things are going to go with D8.
