My page titles for my taxonomy pages work fine when I use the un-aliased path. But if the aliased url is used it it not using the pattern setting. It does not add any custom words I put in the page title.

nicholasThompsonWell, in theory, the alias should get resolved to the system url internally... So the alias vs no-alias issue shouldn't be views specific.
Strange bug, if you can replicate it...

Currently I have my Tags vocabulary set like [term:name] - Chemistry Topics
however the title tag is going to the default, [current-page:page-title] - My Chemistry Tutor
you can see here it is using the default.
