I need it very much myself, so I'll start porting it right now. Unless I run into some obstacles that make it impossible to port to D7, I'll contact the original developer and ask whether the port can be contributed or maybe, if he doesn't want to work on it any more, the project taken over.

Thanks djg_tram - it's a great module and worth the effort. D7 is well set up to share codebase, but I can't see anywhere in D7 yet that allows sharing the same db for multiple sites, which is what I need.

Already done, I also contacted Fokke, the project maintainer to see how we can proceed.

I haven't yet investigated the scenario of shared databases, fortunately, my provider allows me as much as I like.

Already finished, I use it on some D7 sites without any apparent problem. I also wrote to Fokke about it, so I suppose it will be able to appear here soon.

Mick, it's already available from the repository and it should appear on the project page as 7.x-1.x-dev shortly.
