Hi

I want to send a mail when a node is published - easy enough
but I want the mail to go out in different languages depending node's language

I've tried "Path has URL alias" with a defined language - sadly to no avail

is it possible to add a language parameter to the "content is of type" element?

The "Send mail" action has a place you can enter the language you want the mail to use. You can use the node:language data selector to choose the language of the node that you have published.
