I have upgraded to skinr 2 and since then can not add comment to posts as the "add comment" field seems incomplete and no text can be typed in there.
I am on D6

Hi zosta,

What are you using to put the "add comment" form into a modal pop-up box? Skinr 2.x creates modal pop-up boxes and it's very likely that if you're using a different solution to put the "add comment" form into a modal, the two sets of javascript are conflicting.

I only found one issue in the Skinr queue that seems to be related: http://drupal.org/node/739618

Does the issue persist when you try turning javascript and css compression on or off?

I would suggest searching the issue queue for whatever module you are using to create the "add comment" pop-up to see if there are any issues filed citing conflicts with Skinr.

Does the issue persist when using a non-Fusion theme such as Garland? If the issue persists when using a non-Fusion theme, i would suggest moving this issue to the Skinr queue or the queue for the module you are using to put the "add comment" form into a modal pop-up.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Sheena

Thanks for your comments. I do not use anything specific for pop-ups. Before I installed skinr2 and other modules that Acqua Slate depends on after hitting "add comment" regular edit field appeared, not a pop-up. I do have same problem when switched to other theme as Garland. I do not use any CSS (for the simple reason that do no know how to implement that).
So seems not related to Fusion...

Is there a way to switch off pop-ups?

Seems it was not only me having the problem: http://fusiondrupalthemes.com/forum/using-fusion/magazeen-how-disable-ad...
There is however no solution.

I have switched off jquery compresion but no change.

In the issue you have linked upgrading jquery ui script solved the problem. How to do that?

I have solved the issue by disabling "dialog comment" module. It does not seem to be necessary for the theme to work properly however it is on the list of required modules.

Zosta,

If you are having no problems using Skinr with the "dialog comment" module disabled, I would suggest leaving it disabled and consider the issue resolved.

If you want to attempt updating jQuery UI, you can find a list of the different versions of jQuery UI here: http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui/downloads/list

If the issue persists, I would suggest taking your issue to the Skinr or jQuery UI issue queues. Those maintainers will have a better understanding of how to solve your issue.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Sheena
