You mention in the description that it is easy to write your own glue module to use the module with for example panels. I have written one glue module if someone is in need of the same functionality or want to see an example of implementation in ctools. Twitter pull pane.
Provides a panels pane that displays tweets from twitter using the module Twitter pull. The search term can be a keyword substitution. In my case I have a field on a content type that is the users twitter username. The pane renders tweets using the keyword substitution as search term.

pontus_nilssonDid you try the sandbox module?
Or are you suggesting that the sandbox is merged into the module? In that case that is up to the module maintainer (of twitter pull).
