Since a lot of the buttons just aren't applicable to clients just wanting to put some simple content in, we end up having to configure the 'interface' so that it's a minimal toolbar layout with specific buttons chosen for only desired functionality. It would be great to have perhaps an import/export button for editor appearance -- so that we don't have to re-configure the button toolbar layout for every site.
Great work so far on module as well, we use it very heavily.
Thanks!

dczepierga CreditAttribution: dczepierga commentedHi,
Do u mean that after clicking Import/Export window with textarea will be shown an u can copy/paste your toolbar configuration?
Or sth like import/export config of profile/profiles or sth like that?
Greetings

rsbecker CreditAttribution: rsbecker commentedI believe this would be a very desirable addition, especially now that the toolbars are stored in the database instead of being in the ckeditor.config.js file. It used to be that you could create a config file and just copy it into a new website so you could replicate the toolbars you like.
With the latest version of the module, after installing ckeditor you have to build the toolbars by dragging buttons and separators into place for each site. If you could create the toolbars once and export them for use on other sites you could save a lot of time.

kendouglass CreditAttribution: kendouglass commentedYou can still set your toolbar buttons in ckeditor.config.js just like you did in v6.
If you do, your toolbar layouts will be used by default in a new install. Later, if you do change it via the new drag-n-drop, it's easy to return to your custom default. Just click a link in "Load sample toolbar: Basic | Advanced | Full"

rsbecker CreditAttribution: rsbecker commentedThe problem with that solution is that the config file is in the ckeditor module directory. Unless you remember to keep a backup somewhere safe it will be replaced when the module is updated. No a satisfactory solution.
