The function that handles feature installations for drush installers is outdated. It's missing subgroups and status streams, and includes shoutbox and dashboard.

Patch coming.

Does this mean that drush install as used in aegir should work now or would it still create problems?

Depends what the problem was. Apply the patch, install clean, and let me know if that clears it up.

This is old legacy Drupal 6.x-1.x-dev code and won't be supported. It is most likely not relevant and/or fixed in newer versions. Marking won't fix.
