I am sorry for posting this, as I thought I would be able to figure it out. However, within the content of the page, I get this line of code:

I believe it is missing a tag at the beginning, but I canot find it anywhere. You can see it in action here: http://test9.mainely.us/content/more-politics-headline-goes-here

I have just had a look at the link you posted and couldn't see the issue you highlighted. Hopefully that means you managed to fix it yourself, but if not, could you send a screenshot, or at least let me know what browser you are experiencing the issue in and if it is browser specific.
p.s. you may want to check IE8, there seems to be a slight issue with the secondary menu block.
