Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
This release is necessary if you upgrade to the latest SWF Tools (6.x-2.0 or higher) due to an issue with the way that heights and widths are handled. This release also produces relative url's for flash content and the base path, if you are not using SWF Tools to embed flash content.
This version of flash node introduces support for Views and fixes a number of bugs from the issue queue.
The key change to be aware of is that the permissions for flash node have been changed to bring them in line with the rest of the Drupal system. You will need to grant permissions to let users who create flash node content access the display settings, basic settings and advanced settings.

This is a new feature release for Drupal 5 that backports some new features from the Drupal 6 work. The most significant change is that this release implements the requested "bulk import" feature. You can now upload multiple files to your flash directory (and you can also create sub-directories) and then get flash node to import them and create nodes. The import means you can work around HTTP file upload limits, or you can use FTP to upload lots of swf files and then create the nodes in one go.
Some previous changes were lost in the commit of version 4 of flashnode. This version reinstates them.
Note - you must upgrade to version 5.4 or later of Flash node before moving your site to Drupal 6 and Flash Node 6. A change in the structure of the core {files} table will result in your flash content becoming broken if you do not install Flash node 5.4 or higher and run the update.php script.
This is an important release as it updates the {flashnode} table in preparation for Drupal 6. All users of Flash node for Drupal 5 will need to install this version of Flash node and run upgrade.php BEFORE moving to Drupal 6. A change to the {files} table in Drupal 6 will mean that content is broken if this update is not installed!
This is an update of Flash node 3 to fix some of the errors users were experiencing when uploading files. Flash node was checking the mime type reported by the uploading client and this turned out to be unpredictable. If the client reported unknown/unknown or similar it would cause the upload to be rejected.
You only need to upgrade to this release to resolve this error.
This version of flashnode adds the ability to upload mp3 and flv files. These files will be rendered using the default players specified by SWFTools. This is designed for quick and easy upload of audio and video files if you don't need the full features of a dedicated audio/video module.
It also incorporates a couple of minor bug fixes that had not yet made an official release.
This is a brand new release of flash node that uses SWFTools to do the actual flash insertion.
Flash node is still intended to be a very easy way to insert flash content without having write code, but by interfacing with SWFTools you have access to a wider range of insertion methods.
This release introduces a number of new features to flash node, such as:
This update fixes a bug in the preview / reset to default logic. It also makes the "options" section collapsible to tidy up the input form by not displaying options that, in general, you may not need to alter.

This is the development branch for flashnode, which is migrating flashnode towards using SWFTools. This is currently beta. For production sites use flashnode-5.x-1.1.
