What version of Drupal. Was it up to date?
What do your ISP say? Was their version of Apache up to date?
Was your directories secure?
Did you have one of the insecure releases of CPanel?
An insecure configuration of PHP?

You need to check your logs an dif you don't have any, then the chances of you figuring out what happened are slim.

Drupal.org itself has no relationship with that site. We supply Drupal and serve as a repository of code, support and knowledge. That site is running 4.7.2 at the time of my post here. 4.7.2 has known and announced security issues a very long time ago.
