Comments per revision?

I have comments on NodeTypes/Entities. These Node types have revisions/version enabled, and people can comment on the nodes.
I'd like to have a clean comment queue when a new revision is created, but still want to see the comments when viewing an older revisions.

IMO Comment module only works with node ID, not with version ID.
What strategy could I use to accomplish the above?
