When I pull the iCal feed of my calendar into the iCal app on my Macbook Pro, there are problems with the timezone display. If I have the "turn on time zone support" option checked in iCal preferences, events display as though they are happening in the UTC timezone, even though our website's time zone setting is Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5). Therefore, an event that is schedule to happen at 12:00 p.m. actually displays in iCal as happening at 5:00 p.m. Technically this is not "incorrect," because the event IS happening at 5:00 p.m. UTC, and if I drill down into the iCal settings I can reset the timezone to EST, which makes the event display as happening at 12:00 as expected. However, this is potentially confusing to someone who downloads the calendar, as they will likely be expecting events to be in the same timezone as our website. Is there a way to fix this?
