Narrowing the SEARCH

It may have been suggested,

As I am fairly new, and I am comparing products, but prefer Drupal, I find is difficult to look for modules based on functionality using search.
Currently if I search for a feature I am interested in )realty,ebay,phpbb) I find many forum/discussion posts which although helpful, are not what I am looking for (all modules which mention ebay for instance)
I think it would be very helpful if there was a search spicifically for the modules, or a way of narrowing the search overall to a spicific area (modules, theme, forums, support).

If I am just missing where to do this properly, I apologise for the ignorance.
