features_override 7.x-2.0-alpha1

Major rewrite combining code from the original 7.x-1.x branch by nedjo, ideas from mpotter's Sandbox, and from the 2.x-experimental branch by hefox.

All new development and patches should now be applied to this 2.x-alpha1 branch.

REQUIRES 7.x-1.0-RC1 VERSION OF FEATURES (or later).

Highlights of this release are:

• Rewritten so "override features" work just like normal features (creation, etc)
• Full support for Views, CTools and core Features (Fields, etc)
• Improved user interface for exporting full components, or for controlling line-by-line overrides.
• Improved "Review Overrides" panel showing detailed changes with complete context information.
• Overrides use existing alter hooks already provided by other components.
• Overrides continue to work on their own even if the Features Override module is removed.
