Is there any way to allow a user to upload their avatar during registration? Currently, they can only upload a custom avatar after they are registered and logged in. Thanks.

The avatar selection module can't do what you're describing. However, you could check out the Profile Enforcer module. It might suit your needs.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's funny, I actually installed this module with the profile enforcer at the same time, and there seems to be a problem with the enforcer which breaks my site if I leave the debugger on. I guess I'll just wait until things get cleared up with the enforcer.

Any news about this? I really like this module but I need to allow people to upload a picture when registering too

Please don't open up closed issues, esp when they are so old and for Drupal 5.x! I've reset the issue status and version number now.
