Firstly, thank you to all the developers on Omega for all your hard work. You've done something fantastic here!

960 wide is fine and has support across a number of different platforms, however screen size is getting larger - at work I'm running two 24" monitors that support 1920x1200 and at home I use a 27" iMac that supports 2560 x 1440. I know plenty of "non-technical" people who are now running large monitors on their home computers. So the 960 fixed width size is beginning to feel a little small.

I recently came across this site: http://www.gridsystemgenerator.com/ which will generate grids using 960gs but for larger widths. In an ideal world, it would be great if Omega would support user-specified fixed widths however I'm not sure what the logistics of that would be. If it would be possible to at least support larger width layouts - 1140 would be perfect (to suit 1280 monitors) then this would be great.

It is entirely possible to use any grid width you want :)

I use a custom 978gs with narrow/wide variants which can be chosen as normal through the theme settings. You need to make a few changes here and there but once you've done it once, it's fairly straight forward.
