I have created a View which includes a field from a referenced node. I known that if I look at this Views Page with the Row style of Fields that the referenced node field is showing up. However, when I switch the Row style to Display suite object, I can see all my fields including the referenced node field. However, when I try to save the order of the fields on the Views page (in the Display Suite settings on here), my Display suite fields will not save.

If I try to set my row style to be Display Suite Object, then the referenced node's CCK field does not show up in the regular Display Suite Layout list of fields. I used this thread as reference that this should be possible.

Im not quite clear what the issue is... looks like you have two?

However, when I try to save the order of the fields on the Views page (in the Display Suite settings on here), my Display suite fields will not save.

Do you mean that you cant change the order of fields when the View rows style is set to Display Suite Fields?

If I try to set my row style to be Display Suite Object, then the referenced node's CCK field does not show up in the regular Display Suite Layout list of fields.

The referenced node's CCK fields NEVER appear in the original node's list of fields in Display Suite. Display Suite allows you to set a formatter for a nodereference field which loads the referenced node according to a given build mode, but you have to set up that build mode on the referenced node's settings, not the original node. Does that clarify it?

Ack, sorry for being unclear.

Number one: I'm in my View looking at a Page display. I choose the row style to be Display Suite fields. I go in and configure this setting so that my four fields are in different locations (header, left, middle, and footer). I click update and then save. When I check out that page path, there is nothing there. So I go back to look at the DIsplay Suite fields in the View and see that all my configurations are gone. Everything is disabled again.

As to the second part which you responded to about needing to create my own pre-processor, I only tried Display Suite Object after Display Suite fields failed to save my configurations in the View.

So, it looks like that if the Display Suite fields is not working, I should try Display Suite Object and adding in the field myself back in Display Suite's Node display's fields settings. Does that sound correct?

That should work for you if the Fields setting does not.

I'll try and take a look at field settings this week and see if I can recreate your issue.
