Has anyone ever managed to persuade the backlinks view to show backlinks from all domains, not just backlinks from the active domain?
Allowing "search all domains" in Domain advanced settings doesn't do it, with or without a filter Domain Access: Available on current Domain, set to "any".

But I've been asked if I can do this in a sidebar block, so a special page request isn't possible.

agentrickardYou generally can't disable access controls per block like that. The controls have to be set per page request.
Is it at all possible to disable node access for the block at the View level? Views 3.x supports that.
Note: I have no idea what "backlinks" are in this context.

I'll check out disabling SQL rewriting, it might be OK if I add any access restrictions I need via other means. Thanks.

Works nicely, with the added bonus of showing links from unpublished nodes. This is for an admin block, they'll find that really useful. Thanks again for the nudge in the right direction.
